  • Speaking and consulting on Best Practices in Association Management in South Africa

  • Consulting with The Greater Albuquerque Association of Realtors on a governance assessment and review.

  • Spoke to the Oregon Society of Association Management on Rediscovering Your Association’s Full Potential: Relationships, Motivation and Wellness and High Performance: Surprise, Delight & Challenge by Creating Exceptional Experiences.


  • Spoke at a users meeting for Cadmus Publishing clients on 15+ Strategies and Tactics to Engage and Grow Members.

  • Participated in a Study Mission sponsored by the American Association of University Women (AAUW) to examine equity issues for women and girls in Cuba and in the United States. Spent one week in Havana, Cuba meeting with women leaders of business organizations, artists, writers, university professors and other Cuban leaders.

  • Spoke to the New Mexico Society of Association Executives on Providing Value to Members & Stakeholders: How to Lead Strong and Well Functioning Associations. Also consulted to their board of directors on strategies and tactics to move the association forward.


  • Spoke at the American and Canadian Association Executives Realtors Conference in Quebec City, on Surprise, Delight and Challenge: Creating Exceptional Customer Service Experiences.


  • Delivered a keynote address for the Curacao Chamber of Commerce and Industry Marketplace for Entrepreneurs on Creating a Customer Service Culture and Strategies in Your Organization plus three additional workshops for business, hospitality, and associations. Also appeared on a two-hour radio talk show about leadership and management issues and met with staff of the new Innovation Center in Curacao to discuss innovation principles and practices.


  • Returning to Curacao to work with a large corporation to develop and implement a customer service strategy and develop a train-the-trainer program.


  • Delivering a keynote address for the National Association of Home Builders Executive Officers Council Seminar on customer service and conducting two workshops on Extraordinary Leadership Strategies in Turbulent Times and 25 Success Strategies for Women Leaders.


  • Working with Meals on Wheels Association of America to build a sustainable professional community among program leaders. This initiative will strengthen their capacity to achieve their mission of ending senior hunger in America by 2020.


  • Spoke for the National Association of Home Builders on the same topic in Santa Fe, New Mexico.


  • Hired by the Board of Directors of American Forests to conduct an organizational assessment of all operational areas and programs and services and make recommendations for improvements and capacity building. The 70-page report I prepared is future-focused to help prepare American Forests take the next steps and build on its many successes as the organization looks ahead. Conducted an orientation session for the new and continuing American Forests Board of Directors and provided expertise on effective governance strategies. In addition, I am coaching the acting CEO on organizational issues.


  • Hired to coach a new, first-time CEO of a professional association during her first year as a CEO.


  • Working with a company to help build professional learning communities in emerging markets by forming partnerships and seeking content in the areas of human resources, strategic management, trade and export development, risk management, economic development, energy, water and environment, and public sector performance.


  • Developing a strategy to work with multiple organizations in a leadership role to create an African Women's Leadership Center for the continent of Africa.


  • Member of  the Board of Directors of the Foundation for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.


  • Presented the first webinar for a global audience of members and other stakeholders of the World Chambers Federation on "Surprise, Delight and Challenge: Creating Exceptional Customer Service Experiences" (


  • Authored article on "Surprise, Delight and Challenge: Creating Extraordinary Customer Experiences" for Experient and Arizona Society of Association Executives magazine


  • One of 35 global leaders invited to participate in a Think Tank on Social Responsibility sponsored by the American Society for Quality (ASQ) and also serving on the ASQ Social Responsibility Medal Committee, which will judge the first social responsibility award being given out by ASQ.

  • Served as Interim CEO for the National Osteoporosis Foundation

  • Pro bono consulting for Widows for Peace through Democracy, a nonprofit organization committed to empowering widows in conflict and post-conflict zones throughout the world. Creating a communication strategy among other organizations that serve this population in developing countries and assisting with fundraising and strategy.
